York Early Music Festival 2026
The York Early Music Festival was established in 1977 to celebrate music from the medieval to the baroque within an array of historic venues across the city of York. The festival is administered by the National Centre for Early Music.
Following on from the success of the 2025 festival, we invite you to join us in our celebration of the 50th edition of the York Early Music Festival. Guests will include: Friday 3: I Fagiolini; Saturday 4: The Sixteen; Sunday 5 York Mystery Plays/Early Music Show/Ensemble Palatine; Monday 6 Dowland Day with guests including Thomas Dunford, Helen Charlston, Rose Consort of Viols, Imago Mundi; Tuesday 7 B’Rock Orchestra; Wednesday 8 Yorkshire Baroque Soloists; Thursday 9 Les Arts Florissants; Friday 10 Solomon’s Knot; Saturday 11 York Early Music International Young Artists Competition.
