About This Event
Discover how to make sourdough bread using traditional and modern methods.
During the class you will learn how to make your own starter, how to mix, shape and prove the dough and then how to bake the bread. You will receive a bit of Jamie’s starter to take away, to start your sourdough journey at home. While there is a dough mixing, you will be taught different ways to use some of the sourdough starter ‘discard’ in ways like sourdough crackers.
The course will be taught by Jamie who is a Private Chef with over 20 years experience and a passion for baking.
There will be tea, coffee and refreshments available throughout the course. At the end of the course there will be a light lunch based on sourdough bread. You will also leave with a print-out detailing the sourdough methods discussed during the course.
Allergens – please note that sourdough contains gluten. This class cannot be made gluten-free.
