Two of York's biggest musical party troupes collide for a huge night at York Barbican!
A co-headline show with a difference! These local street urchins will each perform a set before New Orleans brass meets rampant folk-rock for a full collaborative show to finish!
We’re New York Brass Band – a riot of horns, drums, and pure party energy, bringing big brass vibes to weddings, festivals, corporate events, and everything in between. Inspired by the sounds of New Orleans but born and raised in Yorkshire, we’re a roaming, high-octane brass band that turns every event into a full-blown celebration.
Whether it’s a muddy Glastonbury field, a candlelit wedding aisle, or a surprise gig in your office car park – we bring the noise, the moves, and the kind of feel-good chaos your guests will never forget. Hyde Family Jam have been bringing their lively show to the streets and stages of York since forming in 2014. They started out busking in 2017, going on to win York Culture's Best Buskers award the next year. While they've since played some major festivals and venues across the UK and Europe, this band stays true to their roots, frequently hitting the streets of York to share their folk-infused sound.
